I recorded this album during the 2021 season of the Sterling Renaissance Festival. I was sitting in with Circa Brava, and they encouraged me to have some small merch to sell so patrons could take home a momento of our show. Naturally, I recorded an album. Most of the album was tracked in the Wheeler Inn, a medium size wood cabin with a soncically gorgeous gabled roof and neighbors tolerant to hearing the same music repeated again and again.

In writing this album, I was inspired by the music that made me love playing during my formative years: Raquy Danziger's Jordan, Wolgemut's Danza and Momento, Dave Macejka's Poi for Gadje, and many others. I wanted to write an album that teenage me would have not only listened to, but played along with. I can only hope this music may so inspire you to pursue what is good in your life.
